Treatment.

The song starts, and on the screen all we see is a chair placed in front of a brick wall with a window to give natural light on the situation,  as soon as the beat drops the feet will drop down with it, these come from nowhere and will shock the viewer this is then contrasted by some flash back footage of him and his girlfriend when times were happier, we are then thrown back to the feet we pan up to the man on the chair, this then fits in perfectly with the first verse, which the man sings, this is split up with other footage shot on a stage, we are constantly bombarded by images of his flashback and we start to feel the pain that he is feeling. during the breakdown of the song the feeling gets more intense and we flash though many images and footage but it is still left with the man on his own. The end is a fade out of him singing "Where have you been?"

Music Video Analysis 3 (Johnny Cash - Hurt

This music video has been made as a replay of johnny cash's life. This is done by including clips from old videos and movies that he has been featured in. it also at one point cuts to an old video where you hear him say, "you stay the hell away from me, you hear?"

The editing in this video consists of cuts that are set in time to the music, so that on every first beat of a four beat bar there is a cut to a corresponding scene. other editing features of this film are: the editing of the colour using lighting and filters, this creates a darker feel, and the lightness that is created when he is playing piano.

The end of this video is very famous, this i think is because of the fact that it is very simple yet effective, johnny is shown with the lights going down on him at old performance (in B+W) and then the older Johnny is shown closing the lid of his piano and putting his shaking hands on the lid, this by some people is seen to be him showing use that this s the end of his singing chorea, because months after this video was shot Johnny Cash died.

Music video analysis 2 ( My Chemical Romance - The Ghost of You

VIDEO LINK-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCUpvTMis-Y

This video is meant to be in the same context as the movie "Saving Private Ryan" in both the story line and settings.

There are two main scenes and locations, one being the "dance scene" in the bar, and the other being on the beach in combat, this chances the people between normal civilians to scared war personnel

This video uses a brilliant selection of editing techniques to get the most out of the top quality visuals. The editing techniques chance a great deal between the two scenes, the ballroom and the battle field.

the change of scene comes when the music changes, as in the track there are two very different sections one that is softer and one that is full of aggression. this then acts as a marker to when the location changes.

The Lighting in the video is also set to make the change more dramatic, one is very light and warm where as the other scene is cold created by the use of blue and grey colours.

Music Video Analysis. (Brand new - Sic Transit Gloria... Glory Fades)

This Brand New video displays perfectly the messed up mind of the Vocalist (the main character). When the singer is first running into the shot it uses a varity of camera shots to display the movement made. The object of the video is to create an effect that the movements made by the singer are copied by all the other occupants of the bar or that the singer controls these other people. The dark mood of the video is created by the darkness in the lighting and downbeat acting with its dark twist.
